In preparation for a notable increase in moisture that could bring heavy rain and possible flooding, the Imperial County Fire Department and the Office of Emergency Services are making sand and sandbags available for self-serve pickup to residents whose properties could be affected. Please note that staff will not be on site, so bringing your own tools will make it easier to fill and transport the sandbags.
There is a limit of 10 sandbags per household. Supplies are limited, so we kindly ask everyone to take only what they reasonably need. If your home or property has experienced flooding in the past, you may find it helpful to pick some up as a precaution.
